BOOK DELIVERY

As you may or may not know, my shipment of books arrived on April 1. Quite appropriate. I am known around these parts for my practical jokes.
I was working out of town that day and the shipment was delivered to the office. One of my co-workers had the brilliant idea of setting me up a book signing table in the "lobby/reception" area of the office. Big long table, books spread out, pens.... the whole works!
Now, whats funny about this is, besides the fact that I wasn't even there, is that we do not do work for the general public. We do not have visitors coming in and out of the office. There are no customers coming by to shop or browse. And there are no adoring fans clamoring for autographed copies of my new book. Only my co-workers who have been hearing this story for almost 2 years now and have been polite but are sick of it.

FIRST BOOK SIGNING

The Gopherhole is a Arts and Craft Fair held twice a year in the small town of Hueytown, AL. Booths are always sold out and its quite a shopping destination for the area. My books arrived just in time to sign up for a booth and hold my first book signing.
Several high school friends and classmates came by and purchased books. It was a great opportunity to visit and start the marketing process with letting the public know about my book.

Readers' Favorite awarded Hit the Knee a 5 STAR review and the Readers' Favorite 5 STAR seal. I was so pleased and in fact, shocked that someone, other than family and friends, would really enjoy my book.
Book Signing at Hueytown Hardware

I had been searching for possible book signing locations when it dawned on me that Father's Day was near and my book would make a perfect gift for Dads. I decided I wanted a place where children might go to find a gift for their fathers, so I asked at the local hardware store and Alan of Hueytown Hardward was willing! We set up the date, advertised it on Facebook and on the store marquee for a few days prior.
The location turned out to be perfect! Had great response and surprised the employees with how many people came by. And some of them even purchased hardware also!

Michelle's Hair Salon on High School Rd in Hueytown, is hosting my next book signing. We will begin at 10 am and be there until people stop coming. Please stop by for a visit. Had an exceptionally good turnout at the Fall Gopherhole Craft Show in Hueytown. Had a successful Giveaway and met a lot of new people.
